John Herd turns a lifelong love for soccer into sharp, data-driven strategy. After competing as a collegiate athlete, he earned a Master’s in Sports Management and Data Analytics from American University, equipping him to translate performance metrics into real-world impact.

From analyzing player workloads at Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC to supporting youth development at Pride Soccer Club, John brings value across all levels of the game. His goal? Make soccer smarter, more equitable, and more exciting through analytics.

Before diving into the sports world, John spent two years knocking doors as a solar rep, advocating for renewable energy and learning firsthand the power of grit, persuasion, and belief in better systems.
